Rolling the Ultraskiff
In this video we give you some tips on how to roll the Ultraskiff 360 round watercraft on it's patented side bumper. One of the main reasons we invented a round boat was to have the ability roll it instead of carry or dolly it. I am still amazed at how easy it is to take the round skiff from my garage to my truck. Certainly one of my favorite features of our portable fishing platform.
DIY Oar Locks
In this video we demonstrate how to build custom oar locks for the Ultraskiff 360 watercraft. After testing oar locks through the years we realized that ideally you want them to be elevated so that you can get optimum rowing power and full range of motion in a round boat. You can easily build these yourself with a Miter Saw and a trip to the local hardware store for some PVC. Or you can order them from us and we will be happy to build a set for you. Rowing a round skiff is a great alternative to kayaking and kayak fishing as it turns the Ultra Skiff into a paddle craft.
DIY PVC ROD HOLDER
Here is a video on how to make custom PVC rod holders that fit snug and tight into any molded rod holder of the Ultraskiff 360 watercraft. We also sell these accessories, but you can easily make these yourself and build to your own specifications. In this informative video I show how with an easy trip to the local hardware store you can make these awesome accessories easily and cheaply without breaking the bank. Spider rigs for crappie fishing, single rod holders for trolling or out rigging and tridents for rod storage. The possibilities are endless with our patented design of round boat.
Seat Mounted Rod Holder Install
In this video I show you how to easily mount custom triple rod holders to back of chairs and casting stools for the Ultra skiff 360. I figured out a great option to keep multiple rods out of your casting range while fishing in our round boat. This is easily put together with a trip to the local hardware store. Check it out!
Build your own Duck Blind
In this video we demonstrate, test and review how to build a custom made duck blind for the Ultra skiff 360 watercraft and giving it a test run. Our patented round boat design make a great duck hunting platform that feels like your sitting in a gun turret. Building a duck blind is pretty easy with our 6 equallt spaced rod holders. All you need are 6 PVC pips and some blind material. No better way to conceal yourself for the perfect camouflage while duck hunting.
Live Well video series
This is a 4 part video series that shows the many different options for rod holders and how to set them up.
Science of the Ultraskiff
Here a video of the inventor of the Ultra skiff 360 talking about what makes our round boat so stable, safe and fun to use. A very informative demonstration of exactly how our patented design of round watercraft funnels your Center of gravity towards the center of the skiff whenever you apply pressure to the angled outer deck resulting in increased stability for the user by isolating your lower back and hamstrings. This technology is the missing link in hunting and fishing platform design that makes it safer and more comfortable for the user to make rapid movements while shooting, casting, standing, leaning over or kneeling down to reach into the water. It also gives your feet somewhere to touch no matter how high you sit in a chair or casting stool.
How to make a skiff poncho
This video below instructs and demonstrates how to convert one of the Ultraskiff Covers into the new "Skiff Poncho". The Skiff Poncho is a partial cover that protects the rod holders, cup holders and compartments from rain water while leaving the boat fully outfitted with a motor, battery and seat system. WIth the Poncho on you can still keep your phone and gear in the cup holders and you can still open and close all of the compartments while allowing ALL of the water that hits the skiff to be directed into the drainage canal below your seat. You can also leave the boat fully outfitted while docked or on a trailer in the rain. When you fish in the rain in the Ultraskiff 360 without a cover, water will get into the rod holders, cup holders and some water will leak into the compartments. After a storm its usually just a very small amount water in the compartments which if the boat is laying flat and upright uncovered you just have to lift the boat up to empty it out. For those diehard fishermen who find themselves in the rain, the Skiff Poncho is an excellent accessory.
Bow Mounted Transducer Install
This video is a bit outdated since the magnet mounts came into play but it still has some interesting capabilities is someone wanted to utilize the tow ring to mount something to the bow of our round boat. All you need is a few parts from the local hardware store to mount a transducer to the front of the prow of the Ultra Skiff 360 round watercraft.
360 Magnet Mounts Video
In this video we demonstrate and show the installation, use, test, demonstration and review of mounting circle magnets on the Top Deck and Bottom of the Hull of the Ultra skiff 360 watercraft for mounting fish-finders, depth finders, transducers and water pumps to our patented design of round boat. For a long time we have tried to figure what is the best way to mount a transducer, the goal of this project was to see if we could mount one that would fall off if you ran aground, a magnet was the best choice so we added 4 mold in disks with threaded inserts to the bottom of our fishing platforms to hold a 35 :b Circle magnet. with the addition of a galvanized steel plate attached to whatever your mounting it makes a great option for mounting both transducers and water pumps to the underside of the Ultra skiff 360.
How to Install Plugs for your Trolling Motor and Battery
In this Ultra skiff video I offer some useful tips and pointers on the best ways to connect your trolling motor and your deep cycle battery along with a installation instructions on using TRAC plugs to make connecting your motor and battery together safer and more efficient. During my several years now of using these round boats I have discovered a lot such as the ineffectiveness of using alligator clamps and the way a loose connection sucks power from your battery during use. I hope this video explains and helps a few people out there.
