DIY PVC Horizontal Rod Rack Build
Recently I came up with a new idea to keep your rods Horizontal (Flat) across the deck yet elevated to prevent you from accidentally stepping on them by creating a sort Tray using PVC. 1.5" PVC combined with the Attwood rubber rod racks make a great and easy to assemble accessory for you Ultraskiff. Why not vertical? While I have and still love using vertical based rod Holders and rod racks attached to your Chair or Stool, keeping them flat on the deck provides you more space and less obstruction above your chair which can have benefits when it comes to stepping or casting over the center of the boat. I like to position these racks in the rear of the fishing platform over the battery compartment since this is not really a walk-able area to begin with. I find this style to be a nice change and is worth considering for all Ultraskiff Owners.
