How to use Baitrunners (1/3) - Redfish and Trout - Ultraskiff Fishing
In this video I go back to my roots of using Live Bait for Trout and Redfish. I prefer to use 2 rods with baitrunner reels for such a task on the Ultraskiff. The main reason is that I like to keep my rod tip pointed directly at the bait, and if your bait swims, current takes it or the boat shifts then you get slack in the line which decreases your ability and speed at which you can detect a bite. I figured it would be a good idea to talk about this in a video and show it in more detail. Little did I know I was going to have such an epic 2 hours of fishing that day. It was the only day I used bait this entire year mainly because they closed all trout and Redfish for an entire year just a couple weeks after I filmed this and secondly because I don't think I would of topped the action I had even if I did try again. The action was so non stop I had to make 3 videos out just 2 hours of fishing. If anyone has any questions feel free to reach out to us. Thanks a lot for watching and as always, Tight Lines!
