Rolling the Ultraskiff for the First Time
What is it like to Roll The Ultraskiff 360 for the first time? To be honest it's never pretty in most cases. For the most part this is due to the persons fear that the boat will tip over, which of course it could but if you stand on the right side of the round boat and use the proper technique that I demonstrate in this video you can master the craft of rolling the Ultraskiff. In this video Jonathan, who is a temp working for me at a trade show, is put in the hot seat as I ask him to roll the Ultra skiff for the first time on Camera. It turns out it was a great idea to film this because Jonathan sort of went through the mistakes that everyone does the first time, rolling it very slow with his hands on the top edge and not really giving the roll any momentum. He also expressed why he doing that and we were able to work it out together to where he eventually got more comfortable rolling the boat. After Jonathan rolled the first one to our booth, I then rolled the second one and demonstrated the ideal technique by rolling it 276 Yards in 2 Minutes and 25 seconds. The video then shoots back to Jonathan and shows him becoming much more conformable rolling the round skiff. I then demonstrate to Jonathan how to properly slide the Ultraskiff, which was ideal because of the hard, smooth surface of the convention center floor. All in all, it was a good educational video if you can put up with my terrible commentary. Thanks for watching! Tight Lines!!
